Alessandro Carboni is an Italian actor and dancer.
Have you encountered any problems or challenges when being mobile?
I would say not at all. So far mobility gave me lots of opportunities for my work, for new meeting and experiences.
What does “being mobile” mean to you as an artist or cultural professional?
Being mobile means to continuously rearrange (reorganize) your work, what you do. Being nomadic cannot be referred only to a geographic significance, but it should be accompanied with a diverse, open-minded approach, always in motion.
How important is mobility to you as an artist or cultural professional?
It is very important for creativity, personal and professional development, to earn a living.
What would be your advice to artists and other cultural professionals wanting to be mobile?
Try to imagine your work as something ever-changing. Do not think at your work as something that belongs to a specific place. Think about your practice as a land in motion.
